On May 11, 2017, the Brooklyn South Field Support Center held an award ceremony recognizing "Inspired Education Professionals." Ms. Antoinette Rose, Principal of P811K was presented with the Inspired Education Professional Award, "For excellence as an Administrator."

At an awards ceremony held on April 21, 2017, Antoinette Rose, Principal of P811K was honored and presented with a Citation by New York State Senator Roxanne Persaud. The Citation recognizes, "The quality of service rendered by Antoinette Rose is a reflection of commitment to excellence..." and her "commitment, contributions, compassion and dedication to meeting the needs of the students and families..."

2017 Graduation Ceremony Guest Speaker - Councilman Chaim Deutsch
Councilman Chaim Deutsch was the guest speaker at P811's graduation ceremony, held on 6/20/17. At the ceremony he announced that he will be providing funding for a video surveillance system, to help keep our students safe. Also acknowledged was the funding for technology that he has provided to our school, that has helped to ensure student success both at school and in the workforce.

The Community Mayors Luna Park Event is annual event where children with disabilities enjoy rides, clowns and games in Brooklyn's Coney Island.
